About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports member account updates and questions, and helps keep the club neat and clean. This is a part-time weekend position in Palatka, Florida, paying $15.00–$15.50.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, helping with the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
