About The Position
Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive experience for members, prospective members, and guests by providing a high level of customer service. The role includes front desk operations, assisting with memberships and account updates, responding to questions and concerns, and helping keep the club neat and clean. This is a part-time weekend position in St. Augustine, Florida.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrate diplomacy and appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
- Continual standing and walking during the shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer phone calls courteously and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Give tours to prospective members.
- Enroll new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
- Assist the Club Manager with counting the cash drawer as needed.
- Facilitate updates to member accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
- Help maintain club neatness and cleanliness, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, the daily priority cleaning list, periodic walk-arounds and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
