About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, member account updates, member questions and concerns, and club cleanliness. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members by calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, assisting with the daily priority cleaning list, performing periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and helping with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
