About The Position
The Member Services Representative (MSR) at Planet Fitness is responsible for creating and maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that distinguishes the club. The role provides an opportunity to develop customer service, organizational, and leadership skills while helping improve members’ experiences. One World Fitness promotes from within, and many managers began in this position. The representative greets members, prospective members, and guests; supports membership and account needs; answers questions; and helps maintain the club. The role also involves promoting memberships and tanning lotions, connecting with the community, and enforcing the Judgement Free Zone.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.

Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Enforce the Judgement Free Zone and maintain a courteous, positive demeanor.
- Take prospective members on tours.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Sign up new members.
- Help members download the PF Mobile App.
- Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Complete assigned cleaning areas.
- Promote sales of tanning lotions and memberships.
- Create connections with the community.
