About The Position

Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group, is hiring a Member Services Representative to help create a positive member experience through excellent customer service and facility cleanliness. The role is based at the front desk and includes welcoming and checking in members, showing prospective members around the club, helping them sign up, and assisting with account updates and questions. Representatives are expected to respond professionally and promptly, referring issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed.

The position also involves detailed cleaning throughout the facility. Team members must follow the club’s safety and cleaning protocols, including wearing a mask while in the club, supporting touchless check-in, and encouraging safe distancing. Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
• Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Check members into the system.
• Tour prospective members and assist them with the new-account sign-up process.
• Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating them to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
• Follow club safety and cleaning protocols, including wearing a mask while in the club.
