About The Position

Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group, is hiring a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience through customer service and cleanliness. The role is based at the front desk and includes checking members in, introducing prospective members to the club, helping with account sign-ups and updates, responding to questions, and cleaning the facility. The posting describes a growing organization with opportunities for career advancement. Compensation is $12.00 per hour.

Team members are required to wear masks while in the club, and members must follow applicable state and local mask mandates. The club uses touchless check-in, promotes safe distancing, and follows enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer-service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand and walk continually during the shift.
• Able to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Check members into the system.
• Tour prospective members and assist them with the new-account sign-up process.
• Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating them to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
• Wear a mask while in the club and follow the stated safety and cleaning protocols.
