About The Position
The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk operations, supports member account updates, responds to questions and concerns, and assists with keeping the club neat and clean. Additional duties may be assigned based on club needs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact professionally and positively with members and coworkers.
- Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
- Continual standing and walking during the shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Give tours to prospective members.
- Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
- Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
- Facilitate updates to member accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and in a timely manner, escalating matters to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
- Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
- Complete daily assigned cleaning tasks within the first hour of the shift.
- Help complete the daily priority cleaning list.
- Conduct periodic walk-around and bathroom checks.
- Help complete special cleaning projects as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
