About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, membership and account updates, member questions, and club cleanliness. It also includes other duties based on club needs. This is a part-time overnight position at the Planet Fitness location at 1540 W 6th St, Corona, California. The listed pay range is $16.90–$17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem-solve.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
Continual standing and walking during the shift.
Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Give tours to prospective members.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing daily assignments within the first hour of the shift, priority cleaning, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
