About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk operations, responds to questions and account needs, supports club cleanliness, and performs other duties based on club needs. This is a part-time overnight position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact professionally and positively with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, leading tours for prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, the daily priority cleaning list, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
