About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk service, member account support, responding to questions and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and pays $10.50–$10.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
• Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift and talk continually in person or on the phone.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours, signing up new members, and calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the cash drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain club neatness and cleanliness by completing assigned tasks during the first hour of the shift, contributing to the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
