About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes greeting visitors, handling front desk activities, responding to questions and concerns, updating member accounts, and helping maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club. Additional duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Take prospective members on tours.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Maintain club neatness and cleanliness, including completing daily assignments within the first hour of the shift, helping complete the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
