About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front desk service, membership support, responding to questions and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and located at the Ontario, California club.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
• Ability to continually stand and walk during the shift, and continually talk in person or on the phone.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, priority cleaning, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
