About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk service, member account assistance, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and located at the Saratoga club in San Jose, California. The listed pay range is $18.45–$19.00.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, working on the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-arounds and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
