About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes greeting visitors, managing front desk activities, assisting with membership sign-ups and account updates, responding to questions and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. This is a part-time overnight position in Portland, Texas.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.

Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Give tours to prospective members.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, priority cleaning lists, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
