About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk work, member account support, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and located in Portland, Texas, with pay of $10.50–$10.75.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the cash drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness, including completing daily assignments within the first hour of the shift, working on the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-arounds and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
