About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, member account updates, questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. Daily assigned cleaning tasks are to be completed within the first hour of the shift, alongside priority cleaning, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem-solve.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness, including completing daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, helping with the priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
