About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports membership account needs, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain a neat and clean club. The position is part-time and pays $12.50–$13.00 per hour.

Requirements

Customer service background preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.

Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
Continual standing and walking during the shift.
Continual talking with members and management in person or by phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts as needed.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
