About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role involves front-desk support, member account assistance, answering questions, and helping maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness. The position requires regular interaction with members and management, and may involve working independently and alone during a shift as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Basic computer proficiency.
A passion for fitness and health.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills, with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
Continual standing and walking during the shift.
Continual talking with members and management in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
