About The Position

The Member Services Representative supports club members and guests by providing welcoming, professional service. The role includes membership and retail sales, member check-in, handling calls and requests, communicating club events, scheduling member services, processing payments, and maintaining an organized work area. The representative also performs opening and closing duties and assists with projects assigned by club management. The position reports to the Manager and includes monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.

Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Proficient reading and writing skills.
• Computer skills.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell memberships.
• Greet members and guests warmly and wish them well as they exit the club.
• Check in members and guests according to company procedures.
• Facilitate messages on club software during member check-in.
• Answer phones in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner.
• Communicate special events to members and guests.
• Maintain an atmosphere that makes members feel welcome.
• Handle member requests or forward them to a manager.
• Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
• Sell retail products.
• Schedule member services, including tanning.
• Facilitate payment for member services according to company procedures.
• Know the club’s facilities, services, and schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with projects delegated by club management.
• Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
• Attend monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.
