About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk support, member account assistance, responding to inquiries and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness. The representative may work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Continual standing and walking during the shift.
Continual talking with members and management in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
