About The Position
Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports account updates and member inquiries, and helps maintain club cleanliness. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem-solve.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
- Continual standing and walking during the shift.
- Continual in-person or telephone communication during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
- Check members into the system.
- Take prospective members on tours.
- Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
- Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
- Facilitate updates to member accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
- Help maintain club neatness and cleanliness, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, the daily priority cleaning list, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
