About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role provides friendly, professional customer service; handles membership inquiries and transactions; and helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming “Judgement Free Zone®.” The MSR supports a positive member experience through prompt assistance and knowledge of club culture, policies, and procedures. This is an on-site, part-time floater position with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month. There are no guaranteed weekly hours. Day and evening availability is required. Employees must complete a National Sex Offender Registry search; continued employment depends on a satisfactory background-check outcome. The employee must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification and obtain tanning certification within company-required timeframes. The work takes place indoors, with exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and gym equipment. It involves prolonged standing and walking, as well as frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to perform CPR, operate equipment as needed, and communicate verbally in person and by phone. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must work on-site; the position is not remote.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions, concerns, account inquiries, changes, and billing questions.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships, amenities, current specials, and upgrades, including the Black Card membership.
Assist prospective members with club tours and membership sign-ups.
Meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
Check members into the club using its point-of-sale system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Inform the Assistant Manager or General Manager when issues arise.
Perform assigned cleaning duties and help keep the facility, including restrooms, locker rooms, and workout areas, clean and neat.
Return weights to their designated rack areas and walk the floor regularly to maintain a clean, organized, and safe club.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
