About The Position

The Member Services Representative (Floater) is an on-site, part-time role and the first point of contact for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The representative provides friendly, professional customer service and helps create an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience. The role includes answering membership questions, assisting with transactions, supporting sales, and maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming club environment. Employees must commit to at least 16 hours per month; weekly hours are not guaranteed. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. The position requires a satisfactory National Sex Offender Registry search for day and evening MSRs. Employees must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframes and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in an emergency. Tanning certification must also be obtained within the company-required timeframe. The work takes place indoors, with exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and gym equipment. Duties involve prolonged standing and walking, as well as physical activities including stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to operate equipment as needed and communicate in person or by phone. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must work on-site; the position is not remote.
Must commit to a minimum of 16 hours per month; weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Day and evening MSRs must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry search; continued employment depends on a satisfactory outcome.
Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required timeframes and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in an emergency.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns.
Assist members with account inquiries, changes, and billing questions.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships and amenities, give tours, assist with sign-ups, and promote membership specials and upgrades.
Meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
Check members into the club using the POS system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Process memberships, cancellations, and payments accurately.
Follow assigned opening and closing procedures.
Escalate issues to the Assistant Manager or General Manager as appropriate.
Perform assigned cleaning duties and help maintain restrooms, locker rooms, workout areas, and the overall club.
Return weights to their appropriate rack areas and regularly check the floor for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
