About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) Floater is the first point of contact for members, prospective members, and guests. The role provides exceptional customer service, handles membership inquiries and transactions, and helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and friendly “Judgement Free Zone®” environment. The position supports a positive member experience through friendly, professional interactions, prompt assistance, and knowledge of club culture, policies, and procedures. This is an onsite, part-time hourly, non-exempt role requiring a minimum of 16 hours per month. Weekly hours are not guaranteed. The representative may work day or evening shifts and is expected to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification and obtain tanning certification within the company’s required timeframes. Day and evening MSRs must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry search, and continued employment depends on a satisfactory background-check outcome. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
Must commit to a minimum of 16 hours per month; weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Day and evening MSRs must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry search; continued employment is based on a satisfactory background-check outcome.
Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required timeframes and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in an emergency.
Must obtain tanning certification within company-required timeframes.

Ability to perform CPR and operate equipment as needed, and to communicate verbally in person and by phone to exchange information.
Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide outstanding customer service.
Respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns, assist with account inquiries, changes, and billing questions, and escalate issues to the Assistant Manager or General Manager when appropriate.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships, amenities, specials, and upgrades; provide tours and assist prospective members with sign-ups.
Meet or exceed membership and customer-service goals.
Check members into the club using the POS system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow assigned opening and closing procedures.
Perform assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift and help keep restrooms, locker rooms, workout areas, and the overall facility clean, organized, and safe.
Return weights to their appropriate rack areas, regularly walk the floor, and refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required timeframes and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in a medical emergency.
Obtain tanning certification within the company’s required timeframe.
