About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, responds to questions and concerns, and helps keep the club neat and clean. Employees at a franchise location are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ, and the franchisee is responsible for employment matters and compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem solve.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
Able to stand and walk continually during a shift.
Able to talk continually in person or on the phone during a shift.
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during a shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Give tours to prospective members.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the club’s neatness and cleanliness.
