About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front desk operations, member account support, club tours, and helping maintain a neat and clean club. Employees at franchise locations are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ; each franchisee is responsible for employment matters and legal compliance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Upbeat and positive attitude, with punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers, exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
Able to stand and walk continually during the shift and talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front desk activities, including answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system and sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
