About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports member account needs, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness. This position is full-time and pays $15.35 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Basic computer proficiency.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem solve.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to continually stand and walk during the shift.
Ability to continually talk in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
