About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for members and guests and helps provide a friendly, professional, and positive club experience. The role handles customer service, membership inquiries and transactions, front desk operations, and assigned cleaning duties while supporting a clean, comfortable, and welcoming “Judgement Free Zone®.” The MSR is expected to understand and follow club culture, policies, and procedures and to promptly escalate issues to an Assistant Manager or General Manager when needed. The position is full-time and performed onsite at the South Salt Lake, Utah location. The listed salary is $13.00. The shift is afternoon/evening. The work takes place indoors and involves exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and gym equipment. Physical requirements include prolonged standing and walking; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. The employee must be able to perform CPR and operate equipment as needed, and communicate in person and by phone. Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction, are required. Requirements

Utah locations require participation in E-Verify.
Ability to perform the physical demands described, including prolonged standing and walking, frequent movement and lifting up to 50 pounds as required.
Ability to perform CPR, operate equipment as needed, and communicate in person or by phone.
Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns.
Assist members with account inquiries, account changes, and billing questions.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships and amenities to prospective members.
Assist potential members with club tours and membership sign-ups.
Promote and explain current membership specials and upgrades, including Black Card membership.
Work toward meeting or exceeding membership and customer service goals.
Check members into the system using the club’s POS system.
Answer phone calls professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process new memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Notify the Assistant Manager or General Manager when issues arise.
Perform assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift and help maintain clean restrooms, locker rooms, and workout areas.
Return weights to their appropriate rack areas and regularly walk the floor to keep the club clean, organized, and safe.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required timeframes.
Obtain Tanning Certification within company-required timeframes.
