About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests, helping ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. The role includes front desk and customer service duties as well as cleaning and maintaining the facility. Employees are expected to keep the front desk and lobby clean and orderly and help maintain exercise equipment, tanning beds, restrooms, and wet areas. The position is part-time and scheduled for weekend mornings. Overnight applicants must submit to a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; continued employment is based on a satisfactory outcome. Employees must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames and be physically able to administer CPR/AED in an emergency. Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged walking and standing, frequent bending and other movements, occasional handling of weight up to 50 pounds, continual talking, and administering CPR in an emergency.
Ability to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction.
For overnight applicants: submit to a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory outcome.

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests and provide welcoming, exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check in members; tour and sign up new members; log amenities; and communicate updates and events.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
Use the POS system to assist with membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment questions.
Keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
Clean and maintain the facility, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
Clean exercise equipment and tanning beds.
Clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required time frames and maintain the physical ability to administer CPR/AED in an emergency.
