About The Position

Cornerstone Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic team member to assist members with their financial needs. The role provides courteous, professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate member service; identifies and cross-sells services that may benefit members’ financial status; and maintains thorough knowledge of credit union philosophies, policies, and procedures. The position’s weekday hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. After achieving competency, the employee will work rotating Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The listed essential functions are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

Responsibilities

Independently maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer.
Accurately perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check disbursements, general ledger postings, dead-end checks, and money orders.
Maintain over/short practices and cash drawer limits.
Follow BSA guidelines for CTR and SAR.
Follow check negotiation practices.
Resolve problems using independent judgment to support member satisfaction, and refer members to an appropriate credit union employee when needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in cross-selling services offered by the credit union.
Follow applicable credit union policies and standard operating procedures.
Remain aware of, understand, and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements for deposit accounts.
Greet and sign in members and visitors.
Maintain the lobby’s upkeep and professional appearance.
Direct member traffic to available Financial Service Representatives.
Encode and re-pin debit cards.
Sort and distribute mail.
Respond to members’ in-person inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Change and handle coin bags in the coin machine and perform simple maintenance.
Process mail and night drops.
Know the credit union well enough to answer basic questions.
Understand and follow credit union policies and standard procedures related to the MSR department.
