About The Position

The Member Experience Associate performs merchandise protection procedures, monitors activity at club entrances and exits, and provides superior customer service to members. The role supports club policies, procedures, and compliance while helping maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Associates follow merchandise-protection and shrink-alert procedures, audit specified services and transactions, respond to electronic article surveillance alarms, and assist with member concerns. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use a smart handheld device.
• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must have been employed with the company for at least six months.
• Must be at least 18 years old, except in Indiana, where the minimum age is 19, and Delaware, where the minimum age is 21.

Nice To Haves

• Basic math skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank members promptly and professionally.
• Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Follow merchandise protection procedures and shrink alert protocols; maintain the AP Alert Binder according to AP standards.
• Follow BEST procedures, cross-check merchandise against member register receipts, and verify high-dollar-value items.
• Record register receipt discrepancies and notify the front line so they can be rectified immediately.
• Audit Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside Pick-up, and Same Day Delivery according to company procedures.
• Inspect known repack articles and follow repack awareness guidelines.
• Monitor member and visitor traffic entering and exiting the club.
• Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance alarms according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety standards for members and team members.
• Inspect bags, backpacks, briefcases, and lunch boxes belonging to team members, members, and vendors as they leave the building.
• Process empty water jug return vouchers for members.
• Maintain club policies and procedures; perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Work collaboratively to meet club standards and support a safe, positive environment.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
