About The Position

The Member Experience Associate I assists members with financial transactions, including cash exchanges, payment processing, and issuing and accepting negotiable instruments. The role provides routine information about credit union products and services and supports the company’s sales and service culture, training objectives, and other directed initiatives.

Requirements

• One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate general office equipment and other credit union-provided equipment.
• Ability to operate related computer software provided by the credit union.
• Ability to understand how member requests affect individual accounts.
• Willingness to learn and progress within the job role.
• Ability to work as a team member and embrace the credit union philosophy, mission, vision, and core values.
• Knowledge of common scam and fraud prevention practices.
• Fundamental knowledge of the financial industry, including the check clearing process, negotiable instruments, and collections.
• Knowledge and understanding of basic processes in other credit union departments and branches.
• Ability to handle confidential discussions with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
