About The Position

Founder's House of Hope, an assisted living facility for adults ages 18–59 in Artesia, California, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medication Technician to support residents in the mental illness community. The role works in a fast-paced environment and is available for overnight (NOC) shifts. Full-time and part-time positions are available in various shifts. The Medication Technician prepares and assists with residents’ self-administration of medications according to doctors’ orders and the MAR, records medication administration, supports caregivers with residents’ Activities of Daily Living, communicates resident changes and concerns, completes required paperwork, and maintains medication and supply availability and organization. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered; conditions apply.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
Must pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assist with residents’ self-administration of medications according to doctors’ orders and the MAR.
Log medication administration appropriately on the MAR, including PRN medication.
Assist caregivers with daily assignments to ensure residents receive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively with residents, families, and the Wellness Coordinator about changes or resident concerns.
Complete outstanding daily paperwork, including filing and logging medication and centrally stored records.
Order, receive, and inventory supplies and medications to ensure supplies are available.
Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the medication cart.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Administration.
