About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to provide compassionate, direct care to residents in a senior living community. The role assists residents with medication administration and activities of daily living in accordance with their individualized medication and treatment plans. Medication Technicians contribute to a supportive, nurturing environment and help ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being. The position is identified as an NOC shift. The stated salary is $21.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state medication administration license, such as CNA, CMA, CMT, QMAP, or Certified Caregiver, or meet state requirements for medication administration in assisted living.
Current First Aid and CPR license, or ability to obtain one.
At least 12 months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting.
Excellent attention to detail and high integrity.
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Experience with memory care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with the daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration, as outlined in individual care plans.
Follow documentation protocols and report changes in residents’ status.
Help manage medication inventory and storage conditions, and coordinate medication reorders and deliveries with pharmacies as needed.
Provide care and support with activities of daily living as part of a team.
Promote residents’ independence and provide emotional support, engagement, and companionship.
Encourage and assist residents to participate in life enrichment activities.
Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
