About The Position

Priority Life Care is hiring a CMT (Certified Medication Tech) and/or QMA (Qualified Medication Aide) Medication Aide to provide care and medical assistance to residents. The role includes preparing and administering medications, monitoring residents for medication reactions, and following applicable procedures and state and federal regulations. Medication Aides are expected to be courteous and friendly coworkers and to promote Priority Life Care’s mission and values.

Requirements

CPR and First Aid certification.
Medication disbursement certification for the given state.
At least 1 year of experience.
Prior experience in long-term care, home health, or related service industries.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Connect with residents and ensure they receive the best care and medical assistance.
Accurately prepare and administer medications in compliance with related policies, procedures, and regulations.
Stay familiar with residents’ medical records and medication administration records.
Document vital signs, medication administration, resident behaviors associated with medication administration, medication incidents and accidents, and facility incidents and accidents.
Prepare verbal and written reports concerning successful or unsuccessful medication administration.
Report issues or problems to the direct supervisor.
