About The Position

Priority Life Care is seeking a Certified Medication Tech (CMT) and/or Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to provide medication assistance and care to residents. Medication Aides administer medications, monitor residents for medication reactions, and follow procedures established by state and federal regulations. The role involves building connections with residents and supporting their care and medical needs while representing Priority Life Care’s mission and values.

Requirements

CPR and First Aid certification.
Medication dispensing certification for the applicable state.
At least 1 year of experience.
Prior experience in long-term care, home health, or a related service industry.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Connect with residents and ensure they receive appropriate care and medical assistance.
Accurately prepare and administer medications in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
Remain familiar with residents’ medical records and medication administration records.
Document vital signs, medication administration, resident behaviors associated with medication administration, and medication- and facility-related incident and accident reports.
Prepare verbal and written reports about successful or unsuccessful medication administration.
Report issues or problems to the direct supervisor.
