The Medication Support Professional (MSP) supports and observes client medication self-administration and provides routine health-services support within Pennsylvania substance use disorder treatment programs. Working under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the MSP assists with established medication-control processes, maintains accurate documentation, and recognizes and reports observable changes or client-reported health concerns in accordance with agency policies and procedures. This is an unlicensed support position. The MSP does not perform nursing assessments, triage, diagnosis, clinical decision-making, medication administration, or other functions reserved for licensed healthcare professionals. The position is essential during inclement weather and may require alternate shifts or work at other program locations based on operational needs. It works every other weekend; holiday scheduling depends on staffing patterns and facility needs.
