Humana•Virginia Beach, VA

About The Position

Humana is hiring a field-based Medicare Sales Agent to serve the designated local territory, which the employee must reside in. As part of a collaborative team of 8–12 Medicare Sales Agents, the role works under the guidance of a Senior Manager and Regional Director to deliver exceptional service and grow Humana’s reach. The agent builds trust with individuals by educating them about Humana Medicare Advantage plans and additional offerings, including life, dental, vision, and prescription coverage. The role involves face-to-face customer interactions, grassroots marketing, community events, and in-home visits, as well as self-generated sales and relationship-building in the community. The agent uses company-issued iPads and digital platforms to support consultations, enrollments, documentation, CRM updates, and follow-up. The position is remote but field-based, with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. Member appointments and events may occur at night or on weekends, so schedule flexibility is essential. The first five weeks of employment and attendance at training are mandatory. During a licensing program, Humana pays for insurance training and licensing fees and provides virtual and in-market training; a base salary and monthly guarantee are provided during training.

  • For home or hybrid work, self-provided internet service must provide at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; work must be conducted from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
