About The Position

EPIC Health is hiring a Medical Receptionist to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and help maintain a positive, patient-centered atmosphere. The role supports smooth front-desk operations, guides patients through check-in, and communicates with patients and team members to keep the office running efficiently. The position is based in the West Peterson Avenue area on Chicago’s North Side, with possible travel to any of EPIC Health’s current locations as needed. Background checks are required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
Bilingual in English and Assyrian/Arabic.
A patient-centered approach to ensuring guests feel welcome and valued.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Computer and technology proficiency, or the ability to learn quickly.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to travel to any current EPIC Health location as needed.
Successful completion of a required background check.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and help them feel valued and welcome.
Guide patients through check-in, including helping them use virtual tablets and answering questions or concerns.
Communicate about walk-ins, schedule changes, and patient needs to support smooth guest flow.
Troubleshoot patient issues and escalate concerns to the office manager, physician, billing department, or other appropriate team members.
Complete front-desk and lobby opening and closing tasks, including printing patient demographics and schedules, filing paperwork, and maintaining a clean, organized lobby.
Manually check in patients who are unable to use virtual systems.
Update team members about patient arrivals, delays, and other on-site needs.
Contribute to a collaborative and effective office environment.
