About The Position

SportsCare Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated and friendly Medical Receptionist to support its physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic in Montville, New Jersey. The receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and helps create a welcoming experience while supporting smooth clinic operations and the efficient delivery of care. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with professionalism and empathy.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computer software, including electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office.
Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.

Nice To Haves

Additional education or certification in healthcare administration.
Previous experience in a medical or healthcare receptionist role.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients professionally, provide information about services and processes, and answer questions.
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with the clinical team.
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history, and ensure required documentation is completed.
Check patients in and out, collect payments, process insurance information, and provide receipts and follow-up appointment schedules.
Answer and direct phone calls, respond to patient emails, and address inquiries and concerns.
Maintain organized patient records in compliance with relevant regulations; file, update, and retrieve records as needed.
Assist with obtaining necessary authorizations or referrals.
Support general office tasks, including data entry, maintaining office supplies, and keeping the reception area tidy and welcoming.
