About The Position

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit or department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support patient experience, clinical outcomes, and departmental performance. The role is approximately 75% bedside care and 25% administrative work.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Associate degree required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to promote efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Support facility engagement efforts by operationalizing nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Recommend and implement courses of action involving training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling.
• Manage practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient-care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
