About The Position

ArkVets is seeking a Medical Director and practicing Veterinarian (DVM) for its largest, newest, and most fully equipped hospital located in North Phoenix. This role involves both clinical practice, seeing approximately 18 appointments per day with 1-2 surgery days per week, and leadership responsibilities. As the clinical leader, you will set the standard of medicine, mentor junior doctors and technicians, contribute to hospital-wide protocols, and partner with ownership on practice growth. The hospital is purpose-built, 8,600 sq ft, and equipped with advanced technology including endoscopy, digital radiography, and ultrasound. The position offers a collaborative peer group of medical directors from other ArkVets locations, ensuring you are not solely responsible for medical leadership. The practice emphasizes a low-stress, fear-free-inspired approach to care, while also managing urgent care cases. There is no mandatory on-call duty; shift coverage is voluntary.
