About The Position
ArkVets is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) for their Avondale location. This is a full-time, part-time, or contract position. The role involves a mix of general practice and urgent care, with approximately 18 appointments per day and 1-2 surgery days per week. The hospital is a 5,000 sq ft facility with modern equipment including digital radiology, ultrasound, Ligasure, and a Class IV therapy laser. The practice emphasizes low-stress, fear-free-inspired care, but also handles urgent cases. There is no mandatory on-call duty; shift coverage is voluntary. The practice is locally and family-owned, with three hospitals across Metro Phoenix, and is not a corporate chain. The Avondale hospital is a 30-year-old practice that was fully remodeled in 2021. The community is growing, with many young families and first-time pet parents. Doctors who can communicate in Spanish are highly valued.
Requirements
- Arizona veterinary license in good standing prior to start date.
- Availability between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., with some weekends and holidays.
- Genuine communication skills and a good attitude.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus at Avondale.

Responsibilities
- See approximately 18 appointments per day.
