About The Position

ArkVets is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) for its Avondale location. This is a unique opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in a locally and family-owned group of three hospitals across Metro Phoenix. ArkVets emphasizes a collaborative environment where doctors are trusted, technicians are developed, and clients receive honest, pressure-free advice about their pets' care. The Avondale hospital is a 5,000 sq ft facility, fully remodeled in 2021, featuring two large surgery suites, a separate contagious-disease area, digital radiology, ultrasound, Ligasure, and a Class IV therapy laser. The role involves a mix of general practice and a dedicated urgent care service, with approximately 18 appointments per day and 1-2 surgery days per week. The practice defaults to low-stress, fear-free-inspired care but also handles urgent cases efficiently. There is no mandatory on-call duty; shift coverage is voluntary.
