About The Position

ArkVets is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) for its Central Phoenix location. This role offers a unique practice environment focused on trust, technician development, and transparent client communication. The hospital is purpose-built, well-equipped, and located in a high-demand area. The position involves a mix of general practice and urgent care, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth in areas such as ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced surgery, or leadership. The practice emphasizes low-stress, fear-free-inspired care but also handles urgent cases realistically. There is no mandatory on-call duty; shift coverage is voluntary.

Requirements

  • Arizona veterinary license in good standing prior to start date.
  • Availability between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., with some weekends and holidays.
  • Genuine communication skills and a good attitude.
  • At least 1 year of practice as a DVM.
  • Experience in routine soft tissue and dentistry surgery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced surgery, ultrasound, endoscopy, or leadership.

Responsibilities

  • See approximately 18 appointments per day.
  • Perform surgery and dentistry 1-2 days per week.
  • Provide general practice care mixed with a dedicated urgent care service.
  • Offer low-stress, fear-free-inspired care.
  • Handle urgent care cases as needed.
  • Participate in quarterly doctor training programs.
  • Engage in individual mentorship for professional growth.
  • Contribute to making the workplace better.
