About The Position

ArkVets is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) for its Central Phoenix location. This is a full-time position in a purpose-built, five-year-old hospital located in a high-demographic, high-income neighborhood. The hospital is 6,700 square feet and equipped with two large surgery suites, a separate contagious-disease area, a dedicated cat room, a special-purpose room, digital radiology, ultrasound, Ligasure, and a Class IV therapy laser. The practice offers a mix of general practice and a dedicated urgent care service, with approximately 18 appointments per day and 1-2 surgery days per week. The role emphasizes fear-free-inspired medicine as the default, transparent estimates, and a commitment to preventing doctor burnout. The company is locally and family-owned, with three hospitals across Metro Phoenix, and values independence and direct communication with ownership.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Arizona veterinary license in good standing prior to start date.
  • Availability between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Willingness to work some weekends and holidays.
  • Genuine communication skills.
  • Good attitude.
  • At least one year of practice as a DVM (inferred from application questions).

Responsibilities
