About The Position

Rapid Medical is seeking an independent-contractor medical courier to run a 31-mile route from Seacrest to Panama City, Florida, Monday through Friday. The route starts at 5:00 PM and takes approximately 1.5 hours. Contractors located within 15 miles of the start point, end point, or along the route are considered well-suited.

The courier uses a driver app for navigation, scheduling, real-time support, and proof-of-delivery records. Duties include photographing pickups and deliveries, handling specimens carefully, maintaining required room-temperature, refrigerated, or frozen conditions, and promptly notifying dispatch of damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning items.

The all-inclusive rate per route accounts for mileage, drive time, and expenses; there is no separate per-mile pay. The posting also describes weekly bonus opportunities, a training bonus, and a sign-on bonus, subject to stated conditions. Payment is available by biweekly direct deposit or same-day cash-out, with possible fees. Rapid Medical provides a branded shirt and bag, onboarding and protocol training, a route preview, and real-time dispatch support. Engagement is subject to a satisfactory background check and motor vehicle record review. Contractors are responsible for self-employment taxes, and a 1099-NEC is issued for payments made.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a personal vehicle; model year 2016 or newer is preferred.
• Have a valid driver's license, active insurance, and a satisfactory driving record (MVR).
• Have a smartphone running iOS 13 or later or Android 11 or later, with reliable data.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Complete a satisfactory background check and MVR review.
• Be reliable and punctual, detail-oriented, communicate promptly when issues arise, and be comfortable adjusting as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Delivery, rideshare, or courier experience is a plus but not required.
• A personal vehicle from model year 2016 or newer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the 31-mile Seacrest-to-Panama City route Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 PM.
• Use the driver app for navigation, scheduling, real-time support, and route work.
• Photograph pickups and deliveries and log proof of delivery in the app.
• Handle specimens carefully and maintain the required temperature conditions.
• Contact dispatch promptly about damaged or improperly packaged items or other concerns.
