About The Position

Rapid Medical is seeking an independent contractor to run a medical courier route from Moorpark to Los Angeles, covering approximately 47 miles. The route operates Monday through Friday, starts at 12:00 PM, and takes approximately 2.5 hours. Contractors located within 15 miles of the start point, endpoint, or anywhere along the route are considered well-suited.

The courier uses Rapid Medical’s driver app for navigation, scheduling, and real-time support; photographs pickups and deliveries and logs proof of delivery; handles specimens carefully while maintaining required temperatures; and promptly contacts dispatch about damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning items.

Compensation is an all-inclusive rate of $70 per route, with mileage, drive time, and expenses factored in. The posting also describes weekly bonus opportunities, a training bonus paid after 30 days with no call-offs, and a $150 sign-on bonus after 30 active days with no call-offs. Payments are made by bi-weekly direct deposit or same-day cash-out, with fees potentially applying. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a personal vehicle; a 2016 or newer vehicle is preferred.
• Have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
• Have a satisfactory driving record and pass a motor vehicle record review.
• Pass a satisfactory background check.
• Have a smartphone running iOS 13 or later or Android 11 or later, with reliable data.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
