About The Position
Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems. This independent-contractor route runs within Los Angeles, covers 46 miles, and operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 PM to approximately 10:50 PM. The route rate is $95, with weekly bonus opportunities and a $150 sign-on bonus subject to the stated conditions. Payments are made by biweekly direct deposit or same-day cash-out, for which fees may apply. The courier uses the driver app for navigation, scheduling, and real-time support; photographs pickups and deliveries and logs proof of delivery; handles specimens carefully while maintaining required temperatures; and promptly contacts dispatch about damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning items. Rapid Medical provides a branded shirt and bag, onboarding and protocol training, and dispatch support. Engagement requires satisfactory background and motor vehicle record checks. Contractors are responsible for self-employment taxes, and a 1099-NEC is issued for payments.
Requirements
- Personal vehicle; a 2016 or newer vehicle is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
- Satisfactory driving record and motor vehicle record review.
- Smartphone running iOS 13 or later or Android 11 or later, with reliable data.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Satisfactory background check.
- Reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, prompt communication, and ability to adjust as needed.

Responsibilities
- Complete the scheduled Monday–Friday medical courier route in Los Angeles.
- Use the driver app for navigation, scheduling, and route support.
- Photograph pickups and deliveries and record proof of delivery in the app.
- Handle specimens carefully and maintain the required room, refrigerated, or frozen temperature.
- Contact dispatch promptly about items that are damaged, improperly packaged, or otherwise concerning.
