About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Winston Salem, VA. The position is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the route. For $125 per month, employees may choose to take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

The work schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. No education or experience is required. Employees regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits; eligibility differs for employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours and certain other employee categories.

Requirements

• No education or experience required.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One or more years of driver or courier experience.
• One or more years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
